About Canada's Fastest 3/8th Mile

Shediac’s CENTRE For Speed is a family-owned and operated Motorsports and Music Venue, located just 4kms from Parlee Beach, NB. We are Home of the Parlee Beach Music Festival, Atlantic Stock Car Championships, Atlantic Monster Truck Nationals, and much more.  We proudly marked our 25th Anniversary in 2020 and we're excited for the future and for our fans!

Overlooking the Northumberland Straight, the 110-acre facility is Atlantic Canada's ONLY "Super Speedway" (greater than 1/3rd mile) at 3/8's of a mile. It is also the fastest 3/8th mile stock car racing oval in Canada. It has been called "one of the best stock car racing facilities in North America for the size market it serves" by the "Bible of Stock Car Racing" - (Stock Car Racing Magazine). The facility runs a variety of musical and motor sports events and enjoys one of the broadest fan demographics of any motor sports facility in the country!

​The history of "Motorsports, Music, and More" dates back to the 1940's. Originally a Horse Racing Facility, the property was converted to Stock Car Racing in the 1960's under the name "Shediac International Speedway". In 1996, a permit was granted to expand the then dormant facility and “CAN-AM Speedway” was born. The facility continued operation as Shediac's CENTRE For Speed in 2000.

Shediac's CENTRE For Speed is heralded by independent music promoters as "the best outdoor concert facility in the Maritimes" and "one of the best in Canada" hosting major artists such as ZZ Top, Our Lady Peace, April Wine, BTO, Huey Lewis and the News, the TREWS, STYX, and many many more. The facility boasts keys features unavailable at any other facility in the Province including on-site parking, camping, and permanent assets purpose-built to host up to 25,000 thousand music lovers "at the turn of a switch". The facility has also been granted special permits to host crowds of 45,000 (RockFest 99).
