‘08 SPORTSMAN SUPER SERIES RULES ELIGIBLE COMPETITORS
All Maritime based Sportsman Cars may compete.
The Base Weight for all cars is 3000 lbs.
All Cars must conform to a home track set of rules. Drivers must nominate their "Home Track" at their first Series event and must remain within those track rules for the season.
The following competition adjustments must be made for any of the following items installed on their car which are allowed in their Home Track rules:
WEIGHT
Weight will be measured driver in position, full of fuel and at the beginning of the race.
Car must be full of fuel to start each race - heat, semi and feature. Fuel status will be checked prior to each race by the Pit Stewart and Tech staff. Late to line-up will not avoid this check point.
Cars late to the line up must stop for the fuel status check regardless of the status of the race. Late to line up will start at the rear of the field.
GEAR RATIO
Maximum final gear ratio for all cars is 530
SHOCKS and SUSPENSION
Cars with AFCO shocks add 25 lbs to their Base Weight.
TIRES & WHEELS
Hoosier 890 Tire
Minimum durometer rating for all tires will be "62" as measured at 60 degrees (F) or warmer.
Tires will be inspected throughout the day for softness.
Teams may not have any tire in their inventory below the minimum softness rating or disqualification will result.
COOLING SYSTEM
Cars with electric fans must also run a standard pulley and belt fan system.
COMMUNICATIONS
Driver is required to have a scanner and listen to the track frequency at ALL times during the race meet competition.
Scanners must be tuned to the speedways race frequency ONLY. Any other communication during competition will result in (TBA at the event) Cars with more than one frequency programmed into their scanner will be disqualified.
No two way communications systems will be allowed for any team.
MISCELLANEOUS
Ford Rear Ends in Non Ford cars add 25 lbs.
Drilled rotors add 25 lbs
Electric fan add 25 lbs.
Cars with Stock Shocks, Stock Brake Bias, and Stock (20 lb or heavier) flywheel deduct 50 lbs.

CFS race proceedure will dictate the running of all Series events. It is the responsibility of every team and all members to read and ensure they understand CFS Race Proceedure. If you are unclear on any item. Ask. Click here to review.
PENALTIES
Drivers and / or Team Members who are deemed to have violated any rules above, including their Home Track Rules, or any CFS Race Day proceedures may be suspended indefinately, fined, debited points and / or purse based on the decision of the Series Race Management Team. Clear attempts to cheat will be delt with harshly.
