2008 Competitors Awards
Congratulations to all our 2007 Award Winners! These special awards are in addition to weekly event payouts.
CFS Points Funds and Points Championship Trophies - $12,000
This year CFS offered up to 10,000 to weekely "points" competitors as well as poits championship trophies valuesd at approximately $2000 in Points Championship Trophies presented by East Coast Trophies. The following drivers were awarded Points Fund Money and trophies for thier commitment to racing at the CENTRE in 2008:

Lounsbury's GM Performance Parts Bonus Awards = Up to $2400
Each week during weekly and series racing any Sportsman or Street Stock who wins a feature who is using A new GM Crate Engine will win an additional $150 or $50 bonus per win from GM and Lounsbury's. A total of $2400 additional bonus dollars are available for 12 points races. For information on GM Crate Engines click here.

Professional Products Super Series Bonus - $2000
The team that attends the most races for the Sportsman Class including all regular points events, super series events and other invitationals will receive a Team Sponsorship awards package for Professional Products valued at $2000. See www.professional-products.com to review their products. Ties will be determined by the drwa of a hat at the banquet.

Via Rail Dedicated Driver Award - $1850
This trip for two to Montreal or Tronto from either Halifax or Moncton aboard Via Eastern Class Service including sleeping accomodations goes to a competitor who attends Weekly, Series, or Atlantic Speed Weeks events and has their name drawn at the drivers banquet. Each event attended adds another chance to win. Attend more events and have more chances to win.

Each Division / Series Champion for points racing will be awarded a high quality, unique, CFS Championship Jacket ($250 Value) in addition to their respective points fund and trophy.

Hedman Hedders - Trans Dapt Champions Bonus - $500
The champion of the weekly points racing in the Sportsman Division, at the end of the season, will receive an awards package from Hedman Trans Dapt for product with a value of $500

Lounsbury's Crate Engine Bonus - $500
Any new approved crate engine purchased from Lounsbury Chev that competes in ANY speedway division or series will be eligible for a $500 contingency bonus. This package is only available from the CENTRE for Speed and Lounsbury's.

Richmond Gear "Weekend Warrior" Awards - $300
At the end of the season six competitors will be drawn from those in the points race in both weekly and series events. Each of the six will receive certificates and product from Richmond Gear to a value of $50 each.

Maple Leaf Foods Best Themed Car Award = $250
This award will go to the team, in any class, with the best theme for the season. The car must display a speedway decal and race for the points fund to receive the award. Positive Themes such as "Pokemon", "Batman", "Superman" etc. are welcomed and encouraged.

Pit Crew of the Year Award = $250
To recognize the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in getting (and keeping) the race car on the track and to the Finish line each week the speedway is announcing the PIT CREW OF THE YEAR AWARD. This award is presented to the Pit Crew and Driver in any class who raced the most laps during the entire season as a % of the total laps raced for the class (including invitationals).

Rookie of the Year Award = $250
The top Rookie overall will be Rookie of the Year. Ties will be broken by a random draw from the hat.

JE Pro Seal Rings Sportsman of the Year Award - $200
This year end bonus is awarded to the points competitor in the speedways top class who best exhibits the qualities sportsmanship. * The winner of the award at the CENTRE will also have their name entered into a draw with other JE customers for approximately $1000 in additional JE Pro Seals Product.

Note: The winner will have their name placed into a hat for a draw among all other JE Pro Seal award winners at all participating CC tracks for over $1000 in JE Pro Seal Product and promotional wear.
Battery Direct Top Gun Award = $200
Awarded to the team who has the most top three finishes on the season. Cars competing for this award are required to run the Sponsors Decal.

Wilwood Brakes - Hard Charger Award = $200
This award goes to the teams, in street stock and sportsman class that passes the most cars on the season. $100 each.

Mo's Gold Pride in Ownership Award = $100
This award goes to the team, in any class or series, that has the best looking car throughout the race season.

PerformanceParts.com Performance Club Mid Season Champion Award - $100
The winner of the Mid Season Championships Race (Aug 2) for Sportsman will receive an awards package of gift certificates and racing apparel.

PX3 Lubricants All Star Award - $100
This Award goes to the driver in the Street Stock or Sportsman Class who exhibits the highest degree of professionalism, performance and attitude throughout the race season. The award includes a Special Trophy, Apparel and PX3 Product and Certificate. Remember, be a winner, not a weiner!

Note: Awards are cash and / or product of equal value from a sponsor and are the maximum available to be won. Additional awards may also be offered based on sponsor requests and outstanding sponsorship proposals as of this announcement. Unless otherwise agreed all awards will be paid only at the drivers banquet and drivers must be in attendance to receive their award. All Bonus' will be awarded at the Drivers Banquet - all values are approximate.
To be eligible for these awards teams must run the associated sponsorship decals and remain eligible for the points championships and points fund. Any disqualification or suspension in any Super Series event event will reset the Top Performer Counter to "0" for that competitor. To date for 2007 Events will be held here at the CENTRE and at Blue Mountain Speedway in Bathurst. Inquiries from other maritime tracks who wish to participate in dates are welcome. Check the schedule for details.
