Community Involvement
As your largest outdoor entertinament facility here in Metro Moncton we're pleased to be involved in our community. Once again In 2007 you can be involved in a number of activites to help non profit organizations raise funds in support for their important work. These include:
Local Area Churches thru funds raised from our "Faster Pastor Race"
Greater Moncton Minor Baseball and Hockey thru our Pepsi Race Day Adventure
The Shediac and Moncton Food Banks with donations of Maple Leaf frozen foods
Local Cancer Victims through funds raised from our "Race for the Cure"
This year were pleased to add another charity to our list. MIRA is one of two foundations in Canada which raises funds for the training and placement of "seeing eye" dogs for the blind and "companion dogs" for autistic children. Their event will feature several teams of sighted and blind teams in the speedway first "Blind Men Racing" event. This promises to be a big hit as sighted teams will race BLIND FOLDED to see who will take the checkered flag in a 10 lap race. Talk about crazy! This will be WILD and for a great cause so we hope you'll come out in support MIRA. Check the schedule page for all the details and for information on each of the events.
