2007 Award Winners - The Details!

Congratulations to all our 2007 Award Winners!  These special awards are in addition to weekly event payouts.

Battery Direct Top Gun Award = $200 
Awarded to the team who has the most top three finishes on the season.  Cars competing for this award are required to run the Sponsors Decal.

Holley Performance - Pride in Ownership Award = $200  
This award goes to the team, in any class or series, that has the best looking car throughout the race season.

Wilwood Brakes - Hard Charger Award = $200  
This award goes to the team, in any class or series, that passes the most cars on the season.

Best Themed Car Award = $500
This award will go to the team, in any class, with the best theme for the season. The car must display a speedway decal and race for the points fund to receive the award. Positive Themes such as "Pokemon", "Batman", "Superman" etc. are welcomed and encouraged.

Moosehead - Pit Crew of the Year Award = $500

To recognize the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in getting (and keeping) the race car on the track and to the Finish line each week the speedway is announcing the PIT CREW OF THE YEAR AWARD. This award is presented to the Pit Crew and Driver in any class who raced the most laps during the entire season as a % of the total laps raced for the class (including invitationals).

Maple Leaf Foods - Rookie of the Year Award = $500  

The top Rookie overall will be Rookie of the Year.   Ties will be broken by a random draw from the hat.

Race In Convenience CFS Points Championship Jackets - $1250
Each Division / Series Champion will be awarded a high quality, unique, CFS NASCAR Style Championship Jacket ($250 Value) in addition to their respective points fund and trophy.

Lounsbury's GM Performance Parts Bonus Awards = $350
Each week during weekly and series racing any Sportsman or Street Stock who wins a feature who is using A new GM Crate Engine will win an additional $150 or $50 bonus per win from GM and Lounsbury's.  A total of $2400 additional bonus dollars are available for 12 points races.

PerformanceParts.com Mid Season Champions Award - $500
The leader of the points at the Mid Season Race (Aug Long Weekend) will receive an awards package of gift certificates and racing apparel.

Lightning Light Hard Charger Award - $500
The Team that passes the most cars during the season and runs the sponsors decals will recieve a Lightning Light body parts of a value of approximately $500.

Via Rail Dedicated Driver Award - $1850 
This trip for two to Montreal or Tronto from either Halifax or Moncton aboard Via Eastern Class Service including sleeping accomodations goes to a competitor who attends Weekly, Series, or Atlantic Speed Weeks events and has their name drawn at the drivers banquet.  Each event attended adds another chance to win.  Attend more events and have more chances to win.

JE Pro Seal Rings Sportsman of the Year Award - $300 
This year end bonus is awarded to the competitor in the speedways top class who best exhibits the qualities sportsmanship.  
* The winner of the award at the CENTRE will also have their name entered into a draw with other JE customers for approximately $1000 in additional JE Pro Seals Product.

Note:  Huberts name has also been placed into a hat for a draw among JE Po Seal award winners at other tracks to take place later this season for over $1000 in JE Pro Seal Product, etc.  Winner is TBA.  Check in January.



Lounsbury's Crate Engine Bonus - $1000
Any new approved crate engine purchased from Lounsbury Chev that competes in ANY speedway division or series will be eligible for a $500 contingency bonus.  This package is only available from the CENTRE for Speed and Lounsbury's

This Contingency Sponsor Bonus goes to any Team who wins 2 or more Super Series events.  Ten awards of $500 are available to be won at Stage Two.

Stage 4 - Super Series Awards - $2000
All competitors who attend and attempt to qualify for 80% (6) or more of the CENTRE's Sportsman Super Series Events in 2007 will participate in the '07 Super Series Points Fund of more than $5000 in cash and / or sponsor awards ($250 per position) to be distributed to those in attendance at the YE Banquet.  All other competitors who attend at least 7 series races will be eligible for the Super Series Points Fund of $5000.   Local competitors must race for points at the speedway and miss no more than 20% of all races.  Champion will be determined based on total points average per event.   Drivers who attend 7 or more events will have their worst event discarded for the Series championship.  No events will be discarded in calculating the track Sportsman title.

Richmond Gear "Weekend Warrior" Awards - $600 
At the end of the season six competitors will be drawn from those in the points race in both weekly and series events.  Each of the six will receive certificates and product from Richmond Gear to a value in excess of $100 each.

PerformanceParts.com Super Series Champions Bonus - $250 
The leader of the Super Series at the end of the season will receive an awards package of gift certificates and racing apparel value at more than $250.  This is in addition to the Series points fund contingencies.

Hedman Hedders - Trans Dapt Weekly Racing Points Champions Bonus - $500  
The champion of the weekly points racing in the Sportsman Division, at the end of the season, will receive an awards package from Hedman Trans Dapt for product with a value of $500

Note: Awards are cash and / or product of equal value from a sponsor and are the maximum available to be won.  Additional awards may also be offered based on sponsor requests and outstanding sponsorship proposals as of this announcement.  Unless otherwise agreed all awards will be paid only at the drivers banquet and drivers must be in attendance to receive their award. All Bonus' will be awarded at the Drivers Banquet.


To be eligible for these awards teams must run the associated sponsorship decals and remain eligible for the points championships and points fund. Any disqualification or suspension in any Super Series event event will reset the Top Performer Counter to "0" for that competitor.  To date for 2007 Events will be held here at the CENTRE and at Blue Mountain Speedway in Bathurst.  Inquiries from other maritime tracks who wish to participate in dates are welcome.  Check the schedule for details.
